WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Wheel alignment is crucial in maintaining the optimum position for your tyres so that they wear evenly. Incorrect wheel alignment not only means that your tyres will wear out sooner than they should, but can also affect the handling – and therefore safety – of the vehicle. We have the very latest machinery to test, balance and align tyres. We invest heavily in tyre technology to provide you with the best possible service ensuring your car receives the most accurate diagnosis and re-alignment.
BATTERIES
Generally batteries deteriorate over time, making your car harder to start, taking longer to get going. If you suspect this is the case, then bring your car in and we will check it for you. Not all garages have the facility to test the battery properly. We have the most up-to-date and efficient testing equipment. We also test the alternator and the charging capacity of the car. We will be able to tell you if your issue is a battery problem or a problem with the car. All of our staff have been trained properly in all aspects of battery maintenance.
PRE-NCT CHECKS
In 2013 just over half of all cars failed their NCT test and had to be re-submitted. The second most common reason for failure was the tyre condition. The NCT looks at whether the tyre tread appears to have been recut, whether the tyre is correctly seated on the wheel rim and whether there is any cut or break in the fabric, any lump or bulge, or any exposure of the ply or cord structure. They will also examine the valve stem for distortion or chafing. We offer pre-NCT checks for tyres to avoid your car failing due to any of these issues. We will do a full check on your tyres – including tyre tread and condition – so that you can get any problems fixed before the test.
We have a fully stocked shop of accessories for your vehicle and a refreshment area where you can enjoy a tea/coffee while you wait for your vehicle.
